Ingeniería Mecatrónica blends mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering to design smart, automated systems — robotics, automated manufacturing equipment, and integrated control systems. Students learn programming, sensors, robotics, and control theory alongside traditional mechanical and electrical fundamentals. Graduates solve problems like designing a robotic arm for a factory line, automating a manual process, and building systems that sense and respond to their environment. It is one of the newer, fast-growing engineering fields as Dominican industry increasingly adopts automation.
