Medicina

Medicina trains physicians to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness across the human lifespan. Students learn human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning through a sequence of basic sciences, clinical sciences, and a supervised Internado Rotatorio in hospitals. Graduates solve problems ranging from acute emergency care to long-term chronic disease management, working individually or within multidisciplinary health teams. The path is long and academically demanding, but leads to one of the most consistently in-demand and internationally portable professions in the Dominican Republic.
